I figured I should merge these topics (my "tidy" gene!) and chuck a few more pics in. Sunlight has been a bit of an issue with pics but I ain't complaining!!!!!!!!

So we found the East Gresford servo fellow was completely correct about the quality of the food at the Vacy Farmers Hotel, so I guess we now have to check his other advice about the positive influence mentioning the sister can have?

Regardless of the wisdom (or otherwise) of this gentleman's remarks it was useful to note getting fuel at East Gresford on a Sunday needs to be before 11am as they close up "about then".

 What a day, we had a good turn out for the club ride with a small change of venue , being a ride to the Dam as the house has burnt down a while back, and then on to Vacy pub for lunch, JBB led taking some awsome roads, with heaps of corners and sweepers with a top lot of guy's, thanks for coming   I took a couple of pic's on my phone.

Having no registered bikes of my own and getting the itch to get out more after an email from Vince earlier this evening, I called "my boss" and asked to borrow the motard. Very trusting based on previous "fun times" that you would know about.

All going well. I can come along to barrington house, been quite a few years since a Sparkie joined in a ride with the dogs.  If  I tun up be sure to take a photo for me.

I just figured I would check if they re-built the guesthouse after it burned down in 2006, but all I can find is a promise to http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/07/30/1991366.htm from 2007 but nothing since. The advertising for the adjacent cottages doesn't suggest it has been re-built http://www.barringtonwildernesscottages.com.au/ so I am guessing lunch will be at the Gresford pub, which is quite a charming establishment in its own right!

Weather permitting I intend to take the Duke out for a blat. This is one of the shorter runs and is very pleasant riding on a nice sunny winter's day. Glenn has added the Barrington guest house for a bit of variety, it is a long time since I have been there so should be good for a change.

Since we're doing pics this is the "new" duc, an ABS ST4S we had the pleasure of riding around NZ for two weeks before bringing it home. This is a pic from the trip, boy there are a loooootttttt of good roads over there!

Unless something has changed, venue or information and weather permitting this Sunday should be our club run, just wondering if anyone is keen and is going to turn up before i go to the trouble  if no body's keen, will make other arrangements, weather permitting of course. 

Club Ride Barrington House
Description: gresford lunch at barrington house

Meet 8:30am at Freemans Waterhole Oaks for 9am departure (unless rain prevents). This is the servo on the left when coming from Toronto or Kurri, or right from Sydney. You will be going somewhere nice and in the company of friendly like minded people who love to ride their Ducatis, or they want to one day.

GENERAL INFO APPLICABLE TO ALL RIDES:
All are welcome and there is no club charge, you don't have to be a member (until you want to be). We mostly adopt a ride practice of waiting at turns - this gives the faster riders a bit of a rest, and allows others to catch up at their own pace with no worries. We may sometimes use corner markers and / or tail riders depending on group size / destination / whatever, but the main thing is to ensure that everybody has a good time riding and in the company of others.
